Never go against a mainstream technology whose unit price keeps dropping every year

I was in semiconductor for 12 years. I saw many technologies that were or claimed to be superior to CMOS. They were all killed by CMOS because when they eventually industrialized or matured, CMOS has improved 2X or 4X and dropped the price by 50% or 75% again.

The same thing goes with Lithium battery. It’s far from being the best battery material and tech, but if you’re an alternative material startup going head-to-head with it, chances are by the time you can ship, Lithium is again 50% cheaper already.

Don’t be that fool.

Why are the mega rounds and growth funds increasing every year?
